For bonus quotes.....

Ben Olsen:

“We started off poorly, they started off bright. Once we realized we were in a playoff race about 20 minutes in, we picked it up. We were still a little unorganized in the back. The second half, we did enough to win that game. It was an inspiring half, but we just have to understand we have to play inspired the entire time.”

Olsen, on Boskovic’s red card:

“We have to be smarter about how we keep our heads. But that’s what happens when referees don’t control games and don’t have a good pulse of what’s going on out there, it starts to boil over.”

Olsen, on Philadelphia’s time-wasting tactics during substitutions:

“If you do that over and over and over, it’s going to boil up.”

Olsen, on regrouping for Wednesday vs. Chicago Fire:

“We’ve got to bitch and moan tonight, smash some lockers, and then tomorrow forget about it.”

Dwayne De Rosario:

“It’s one of those crazy games and once again, I go back to the officiating. It needs to be better.”

Brandon McDonald:

“It’s chaotic but you have to find a way to keep calm. We’re down two guys and they’re setting up for a free kick. You can’t fall into the atmosphere. It’s tough to deal with, but we came away with a point.”

Nick DeLeon, on his disallowed goal:

“I didn’t see anything wrong with that play. [MacMath] had a hand on it but he didn’t have control. We had other opportunities to score and we didn’t.”

Bill Hamid, on the Union’s time-wasting and the late scuffle:

“Nobody was doing anything about Freddy [Adu] walking off the field. Nobody was doing anything about [Sheanon] Williams walking off the field. So something had to be done. We have a game to play. Somebody else should have done something about it.”

Hamid:

“I’m baffled how this game got how it was. A lot of things were appalling to see — appalling.”
