D.C. United vs. N.E. Revolution

Two of MLS’s original clubs meet for the 59th time in regular season play tonight at RFK Stadium.

The all-time series: D.C. United 27 victories, New England Revolution 23 wins, plus eight draws. At RFK, United is 17-8-4 against the Revs.

United begins a stretch of five matches against teams that will not advance to the MLS playoffs — critical affairs during a six-week, seven-game playoff push.

My print edition story is available here. The Capital Weather Gang’s gorgeous game-time forecast is here.

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET.

TV: No local coverage. The match is available on Comcast SportsNet (New England), Direct Kick and MLS Live.
