Injuries and scheduling conflicts could force changes over the next week. Keep in mind, unlike all-star games in other sports, tactical decisions came into play as Olsen prepares to confront the Euro champions.
Per the collective bargaining agreement, MLS must name 32 “all-stars” for the purpose of bonuses. The other 14 — who are not part of the preparations or the match itself — will be identified on the day of the match.
Chelsea, which begins its U.S. tour Wednesday at Seattle, announced a 25-player traveling party.
