The Czech Republic and Portugal meet on Thursday in the first of the Euro 2012 quarterfinals (2:45, ESPN). With two wins and a loss, the Czechs won Group A with six points. Portugal had the same group-play record, good for second place in Group B.

Czech Republic Coach Vladimir Smicer said that captain Tomas Rosicky will not start because of an Achilles’ tendon injury suffered in a 2-1 win over Greece on June 12.
