Klinsmann sets final roster for U.S. soccer friendlies and World Cup qualifiers

Juergen Klinsmann on Friday set his 23-man roster for the U.S. national team’s three friendlies and two World Cup qualifiers by cutting defender Alfredo Morales (Hertha Berlin), midfielders Daniel Williams (Hoffenheim) and Grahame Zusi (Sporting Kansas City) and forward Juan Agudelo (Chivas USA).

So the final list looks like this:

GOALKEEPERS: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake).

DEFENDERS: Carlos Bocanegra (Rangers), Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Edgar Castillo (Tijuana), Steve Cherundolo (Hanover), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Oguchi Onyewu (Sporting Lisbon), Michael Parkhurst (Nordsjaelland).

MIDFIELDERS: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Chievo), Joe Corona (Tijuana), Maurice Edu (Rangers), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim), Jermaine Jones (Schalke), Jose Torres (Pachuca).

FORWARDS: Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Borussia Dortmund), Clint Dempsey (Fulham), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Herculez Gomez (Santos Laguna), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes).

The Americans will play Scotland on Saturday (8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network, Galavision) in Jacksonville before facing Brazil on Wednesday (8 p.m., ESPN2, Telefutura, ESPN3.com) at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

The last friendly is June 3 at Canada (7 p.m., NBCSN), followed by qualifiers against Antigua June 8 in Tampa (7 p.m., ESPN, Galavision, ESPN3.com) and at Guatemala (10 p.m., pay-per-view and ustream.tv online) four days later.
