For the second year in a row, the MLS all-star game will feature a league squad facing English titan Manchester United. The July 27 match will take place at 25,000-seat Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., home of the New York Red Bulls. Last year, United defeated the MLS all-stars, 5-2, in front of more than 70,000 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium.
United will play several matches during this summer’s North American preseason tour, including a heavyweight showdown with FC Barcelona on July 30 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. Seattle and Chicago were also on the preliminary itinerary. The club is expected to announce tour details Tuesday.
