Tuesday kickaround: Redskins-Cowboys, Dwayne De Rosario, MLS, CONCACAF Champions League, Americans abroad, soccer TV listings

Hope you enjoyed the Washington Redskins’ 1-0 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on “Monday Night Football.” Wait, the Redskins lost? But they were the only team to score a touchdown. Ah, those nine field goals — reward for partial success. Where’s Dwayne De Rosario when you need him?

*MLS regular season play doesn’t resume until Wednesday, but two clubs are in action tonight in the CONCACAF Champions League. Trailing Pumas and FC Dallas by a point in Group C with two matches left, Toronto FC hosts the Mexican side at BMO Field. In Guatemala, the Seattle Sounders would clinch a berth in the knockout stage with a victory or draw against Comunicaciones.

*This is why Seattle advancing to the U.S. Open Cup final is a good thing for American soccer.

*Americans abroad:

Monday

MF Chris Rolfe 18 minutes in Aalborg’s 2-1 loss to Lyngby (Denmark)

D Zak Whitebread not in 18 (injured) for Norwich’s 2-1 win over Sunderland (England)

MF Ricardo Clark not in 18 for Eintracht Frankfurt’s 4-1 win at Dresden (Germany)

Today

D Carlos Bocanegra, MF Maurice Edu and MF Alejandro Bedoya for Rangers vs. Kilmarnock (Scotland)

F Robbie Findley and Nottingham Forest at Burnley (England)

F Conor Doyle and Derby vs. Barnsley (England)

*The University of Maryland men’s team, which slipped to No. 2 in the Soccer America rankings, hosts No. 14 Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. George Mason entered the list at No. 18. The coaches’ poll will be released today.
