*Juergen Klinsmann will soon unveil his U.S. national team roster for the Italy friendly next Wednesday in Genoa. One player definitely not on it is defender Oguchi Onyewu, who will be sidelined at least two months after injuring his knee in a Sporting Lisbon match over the weekend.

*The friendly between Argentina and Brazil is now officially on: June 9 at 3 p.m. at 82,500-seat MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Tickets go on sale Friday on Ticketmaster; the price range is $45 to $345, not including fees. GolTV will provide live coverage. The all-time record between the ancient rivals: 34 victories apiece with 24 draws.

It’s the last of Brazil’s three matches on the U.S. tour — May 30 against the United States at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., is set and June 3 against Mexico at Dallas Cowboys Stadium has been proposed. Argentina will host Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier June 2 before traveling to the the States.

*D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper, sharing a conversation with Albanian new arrival Hamdi Salihi about finding a place to live in an unfamiliar city:

“He said he wanted to settle into an apartment quick. I said, ‘Are you going to live in the city or just outside the city in Clarendon or Alexandria like a lot of the players?’

“He said, ‘I don’t know, I talked to Branko [Boskovic], and I said, look, if I live outside the city, I don’t want a cow near me.’”
