D.C. United vs. Houston Dynamo

November 11, 2012

Greetings from Houston, home of the Dynamo — and weaponry. El Capitan is on the sideline, awaiting the ceremonial pregame firing by former defender Craig Waibel. A military flyover is planned. A gun show is open a few blocks away at the convention center.

It’s an appropriate theme for a D.C. United side that has been successfully battling through adversity to advance to MLS’s Eastern Conference finals.

TV coverage starts at 4 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. Kickoff is at 4:21 with Arlo White and Kyle Martino handling commentary.

The second match in this series is next Sunday afternoon at RFK Stadium.

Today’s Western first leg: Seattle Sounders at Los Angeles Galaxy, 9 p.m. ET (ESPN).

April 28 at RFK: United 3 (Santos, De Rosario, Santos), Dynamo 2 (Bruin, Bruin).

May 12 at BBVA: Dynamo 1 (Davis), United 0.

With a yellow card today, these players would miss the second leg:

In the latest installment on the MLS gastronomical road tour, the fish tacos and Pacifico hit the spot at Guadalajara del Centro near Insider base camp.
