Portland Thorns win NWSL championship

The Portland Thorns won the National Women’s Soccer League championship with a 2-0 victory against the Western New York Flash in front of 9,129 spectators in Rochester, N.Y.

Portland, which had upset Kansas City in the semifinals, was reduced to 10 players in the 57th minute on Kathryn Williamson‘s second yellow card.
