American midfielder Sacha Kljestan scored in the 39th minute of Anderlecht’s 3-1 loss at Olympiakos in an UEFA Champions League match Tuesday. The Belgian club completed Group C play with five defeats and one draw, four goals for and 17 against.

Former D.C. United player Andy Najar (Honduras) also went 90 for Anderlecht, starting on the right wing.

The Belgians finished with eight players after red cards in the 49th, 88th and added time.

Kljestan’s season totals: 7 goals in 17 league matches, 0 goals in 1 domestic cup match, 1 goal in 6 Champions League matches. He also made 7 U.S. appearances (3 starts) with no goals in 2013.

The only other U.S. national team player aligned with a Champions League club is Schalke’s Jermaine Jones. In third place behind Chelsea (nine points) and Basel (eight), the German side (seven) will play its Group E finale Wednesday at home against the Swiss club. Chelsea will host Steaua Bucharest (three).
