Goalkeepers: Moises Muñoz (America), Alfredo Talavera (Toluca).

Defenders: Paul Aguilar (America), Miguel Layun (America), Rafael Marquez (Leon), Rogelio Martinez (Cruz Azul), Enrique Perez (Atlas), Miguel Ponce (Toluca), Francisco Rodriguez (America), Juan Carlos Valenzuela (America).

Midfielders: Isaac Brizuela (Toluca), Marco Fabian (Cruz Azul), Juan Carlos Medina (America), Luis Montes (Leon), Carlos Peña (Leon), Jesus Zavala (Monterrey).

Forwards: Raul Jimenez (America), Alan Pulido (Tigres).

Of note: The game does not fall on a FIFA fixture date, limiting selections to the domestic league. … Some players involved in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals next week were not selected. … Tigres defender Carlos Salcido (119 caps) and Cruz Azul midfielder Gerardo Torrado (146) were passed over. … Players based abroad who were not available included goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa (Ajaccio), defender Hector Moreno (Espanyol), midfielders Andres Guardado (Bayer Leverkusen) and Javier Aquino (Villarreal), and forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez (Manchester United). … The USSF announced the American squad on Wednesday.
