Not letting a coaching change interrupt their home dominance, the U.S. women defeated China 3-0 on Thursday in San Diego to sweep a two-game friendly series. Carli Lloyd scored twice in three minutes and Sydney Leroux struck 14 seconds into the second half as the Americans, in their first game since Tom Sermanni was fired, stretched their home unbeaten streak to 82 (72-0-10).

Next: Canada on May 8 in Winnipeg.

U.S. lineup: Hope Solo; Ali Krieger, Rachel Van Hollebeke (Whitney Engen 7th after van Hollebeke ankle injury), Becky Sauerbrunn, Meghan Klingenberg; Morgan Brian (Abby Wambach 46th), Carli Lloyd, Megan Rapinoe (Tobin Heath 57th), Heather O’Reilly (Christen Press 57th); Lauren Holiday (Kelley O’Hara 64th), Sydney Leroux (Amy Rodriguez 76th).

Attendance: 12,857.

Most U.S. players will rejoin NWSL clubs for this weekend’s season openers, including the Washington Spirit hosting the Western New York Flash on Sunday afternoon at Maryland SoccerPlex.
