Another six-goal margin in a tournament semifinal this summer. Sound familiar? Five weeks after Germany crushed Brazil in the World Cup semis, the Seattle Sounders blasted the Chicago Fire, 6-0, in a U.S. Open Cup match Wednesday at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash., the club’s secondary home venue.

In the final, the Sounders will face the Philadelphia Union — a penalty kick winner at FC Dallas on Tuesday — on Sept. 16 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa.

GolTV, in the last year of a three-year contract, holds the broadcast rights for the championship.
