Michelle Obama wore 3.1 Phillip Lim to meet China’s First Lady

What the world’s most fashionable First Ladies wore when they met for the first time:

On her first full day in China Michelle Obama donned a loose sleeveless black vest, wide leg pants and a white long sleeve shirt with a lavender and gray design. According to the White House, the label is 3.1 Phillip Lim. Lim is an American fashion designer of Chinese descent.

Her Chinese counterpart Peng Liyuan wore a tailored cornflower two piece skirt suit cinched with a belt and a hint of red under the collar matching a red clutch and stud earrings. Chinese officials do not routinely identify the designers of her clothes, but she is known to work with the Chinese stylist and designer Ma Ke.
