Staying true to his namesake, Kelsey Grammer joined Twitter this week for one purpose: To harass people about proper use of grammar.

(Okay, it’s probably also to plug his new movie, “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” but that’s not as fun.)

Anyway, his rep confirmed that the Twitter verification is accurate: It really is the “Cheers”/”Frasier” star pointing out a lack of punctuation in various tweets.

He’s not above praise, though. Hey, maybe this will get everyone to step up the grammar game?

Unfortunately, sometimes you just run out of characters and that leads to mistakes.

Which just completes the critical circle. And that, in a nutshell, is Twitter.
