This year, more than 1,500 people submitted entries to the 15th annual Travel Photo Contest. After an intensive review process, 22 finalists made it to the shortlist. Washington Post photo and travel editors then voted on these photographs, knocking out several images and elevating four to the award-winning spots.
Join Food and Travel editor Joe Yonan, deputy Travel editor Zofia Smardz and Features photo editor Anne Farrar Friday August 22 at 2pm for a Google Hangout as they announce the winners and explain the selection process. The top two winners will join the chat and share the stories behind their photographs.
Send us your questions in advance and join us tomorrow to take part in the live chat.
