Maryland and Virginia Tech tip off Saturday afternoon, with both teams in a bit of a rut entering the game at Comcast Center (TV: WTTG-5 in the Washington area, WNUV-54 in Baltimore). The Terrapins have lost three straight, while the Hokies’ lone win in six games this calendar year came last Sunday against No. 19 Virginia.
The Terrapins say they got a boost from the riled-up crowd that attended Wednesday’s game against Duke. For the Hokies, this year’s game at Comcast Center will have a different feel now that Malcolm “worst fans ever” Delaney and Jeff “Maryland fans are No. 1” Allen are gone.
