Randy Edsall’s challenge: Changing the perception of Randy Edsall

For the last 11 months, I have read thousands of comments on this blog and responded to hundreds of emails about one man: Randy Edsall. Since replacing Ralph Friedgen in January, Edsall has proved to be a polarizing figure among Maryland football fans.

I want to thank Edsall for the opportunity to sit down with him for three hours in his office earlier this week to talk about regrets he has about this past season and the challenges that loom moving forward. I encourage everyone to read my lengthy story on Edsall’s challenge of rewriting the public narrative about Edsall.

You can read the feature story here.

And you can read a portion of the three-hour interview right here. The only note I want to point out is that the wording of my questions may have been tweaked to add context or information for the reader.

Also, one of he most enjoyable parts of this job for me is interacting with you. I’d love to hear your thoughts on Edsall — and whether the story changed your opinion in any way — and answer any questions you may have about the head coach or the program.

The best way to reach me is e-mail:

You can also reach me on Twitter at TerpsInsider.

You can also reach me on Facebook.

And if you have my cell, feel free to give me a call.

Sorry, I have not owned a land-line telephone in nine years.

Thanks. I will try my best to get back to as many of you as I can over the next few days.
