Maryland football finalizes home-and-home deal with FIU

November 7, 2012

We reported this back in mid-October, but now it’s official: Maryland and Florida International have agreed to a two-year home-and-home football series, the athletic department announced Wednesday.

The Golden Panthers will visit Byrd Stadium on Aug. 31, 2013, for the season opener, while Maryland will travel to Miami and face FIU on Sept. 10, 2016, to complete the deal.

The Terps are 3-0 all-time against the Golden Panthers, last scoring a 42-28 home win in 2010.

This gives the Terps a 2013 nonconference schedule of Florida International, Old Dominion, at Connecticut and West Virginia at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
