Maryland-North Carolina football game receives the six-day option

November 12, 2012

Another week, another six-day option for the Maryland football team.

The Terps’ season finale at North Carolina will be given a start time no later than noon next Sunday after ESPN put five games on hold.

Maryland wraps up its home slate with a noon kickoff against Florida State this weekend before closing out the campaign in Chapel Hill. Beset by injuries, the Terps have lost four straight, falling to 4-6 on the season and 2-4 in the ACC.

The Tar Heels, meanwhile, are 6-4 this year and 3-3 in the ACC, coming off a 68-50 loss to Georgia Tech at home. They visit Virginia this week for a 7:30 p.m. game on ESPN before hosting the Terps.
