Randy Edsall does the Baltimore television tour

Maryland Coach Randy Edsall went through the proverbial Baltimore television carwash yesterday, making stops at WMAR-TV, WJZ-TV and WBAL-TV, and a few other media outlets. It’s all part of recent “Maryland pride” efforts to promote the program’s brand, which include Saturday’s open practice at Dunbar High School. The Terps are also holding another open practice at Middletown High School before their spring game at Byrd Stadium on April 13.

The video from Edsall’s WMAR-TV appearance — at 5:50 a.m. apparently — isn’t terribly groundbreaking. It deals mostly with big-picture stuff and the “bring our product to the people” movement.

Still, it’s interesting to see Edsall getting after it in the media. It’s safe to assume he’ll be making some similar stops in DC in the days leading up to Maryland’s spring game.
