Maryland’s swan song through the ACC next season will proceed with little zest and appeal. With its Big Ten departure looming after one final season, the men’s basketball team received its home and away opponents for the final conference schedule, gleaned through the announcements made public by various schools Tuesday afternoon.
Noticeably absent from Maryland’s upcoming schedule are home games against Duke and North Carolina, meaning those schools have played their final ACC games in College Park.
Instead, the Terps will host the following opponents at to-be-determined dates: Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
Maryland will also face the Seminoles, Panthers, Cavaliers and Hokies on the road. The Terrapins will travel for road-only games to Boston College, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and North Carolina State.
Here’s what we know about the team’s 2013-14 schedule so far:
Nov. 8: vs. U-Conn. at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Nov. 22-25: Paradise Jam in U.S. Virgin Islands vs. Marist, Northern Iowa/Loyola Marymount and Providence/Vanderbilt/Morgan State/La Salle.
Dec. 8: vs. George Washington at Verizon Center
TBD home games: Oregon State, Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
TBD away games: Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Boston College, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and North Carolina State.
