Maryland’s Stefon Diggs named to Maxwell Award watch list

As summer inches closer to preseason football camp in early August, Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs finds himself swimming in watch lists and early recognition. Monday, the rising sophomore was named to the Maxwell Award watch list, awarded annually to college football’s best player.

Diggs, who landed on the Hornung watch list last week, given to the most versatile player in college football, was one of just 10 sophomores on the Maxwell list and one of eight ACC players.
