The Maryland football team will kickoff against Wake Forest at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, the ACC announced Monday. Either ESPN2 or ESPNU will handle the broadcast.
Coming off a 63-0 loss at Florida State, the Terrapins (4-0, 0-1 ACC) can even up their conference record this weekend, when Virginia (2-3, 0-1 ACC) arrives at Byrd Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. That game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The Cavaliers are similarly reeling, dealt a 48-27 home loss to Ball State last weekend, and have lost two of three. They have played just one road game this season, losing their ACC opener 14-3 at Pittsburgh.
Wake Forest evened up its record with a 28-13 home win over North Carolina State on Saturday, led by three touchdown passes from quarterback Tanner Price and a monstrous day (12 catches, 153 yards) from wide receiver Michael Campanaro.
The Terps beat Wake Forest in College Park last season when running back Justus Pickett rushed for the game-winning 1-yard touchdown run with 5:37 left. Stefon Diggs set up that play with a 63-yard reception and finished with 105 yards receiving, his second straight game topping the century mark.
