(EDITS: fixed the headline with the correct time and remedied some factual errors. Apologies.)
The Maryland football team will visit Virginia Tech on Sat., Nov. 16 for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday. The game marks the Hokies’ home finale and the Terps’ third conference road trip of the season.
Maryland (5-3, 1-3 ACC) hosts Syracuse this weekend at 3:30 p.m., hoping to finally attain bowl eligibility. Coach Randy Edsall’s squad, which has not won after Oct. 13 since the third-year coach arrived in College Park, has lost two straight but entered a much-needed bye week following those two defeats.
Similarly reeling, the once-ranked Hokies have lost two straight to Duke (13-10) and Boston College (34-27), and visit 14th-ranked Miami this weekend for a nationally televised 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Terps have lost five straight games to the Hokies, including four from 2004-2009. The two sides haven’t faced since.
