Sights and sounds from the Paradise Jam championship game

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — With everything wrapped up here on the island, a 56-52 victory over Providence in the books for the Maryland men’s basketball team, here are some pictures and video from the late-night action, which ended well after midnight EST and began with two radio broadcasters in pajamas.

Maryland rolled with its black “Pride” uniforms complete with state flag sneakers.

Dez Wells started the game with a thunderous dunk in transition.

 

And some kid wore a ninja turtle costume to the island:


After the win, the Paradise Jam tournament folks were on their screengrabbing game:

 

Then everyone, including injured point guard Seth Allen, cut down the net:



Freshman Damonte Dodd sported the championship plaque/steel drum.
