The Maryland football team will again travel the local roads for an open spring scrimmage, moving the operation to North Point High School in Waldorf on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The scrimmage is free to the public.
The Terrapins returned to the practice field on Monday following spring break and will hold a practice that is open to reporters on Wednesday morning.

Maryland held open scrimmages last spring at both Dunbar High School in Baltimore and Middletown High School in northwestern Maryland. Fans wishing to attend Friday’s scrimmage can also enter a raffle to win prizes like a football autographed by Coach Randy Edsall and a game-worn jersey.
Last season, the open scrimmages doubled as opportunities to visit the high school campuses of several local recruits, though the Terps wound up with none of them. According to Scout and Rivals, Maryland’s class of 2015 interests contain just one North Point player: quarterback Brandon Battle, a three-star recruit who reportedly attended junior day on campus in February.
I will be in Memphis this week for the NCAA tournament, so apologies in advance for the lack of football updates, which includes the open scrimmage and Wednesday morning’s practice.
