Terps pick up commitments from Virginia, Pennsylvania linebackers

Maryland football‘s June recruiting spree continued Thursday night, when a pair of 2015 linebacker prospects committed hours apart.

Gus Little, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound inside linebacker who plays at Massaponax High School in Fredericksburg, committed early Thursday evening, several weeks after he picked up an offer from Maryland. He took to Twitter shortly after to announce his decision. Little is considered a three-star prospect by Rivals and also carried offers from Virginia, Old Dominion and Boston College, among others.

Junior Brett Zanotto (Murraysville, Pa.) became the  Terps’ second commitment several hours later. The outside linebacker, who plays at Franklin Regional High School, also picked up traction on the recruiting circuit over the past year, holding offers from Syracuse, Temple and Boston College.

Maryland has secured eight commitments, four of them on the defense, in the past 12 days. The Terps also picked up pledges from New Jersey corner Kareem Ali and Mbi Tanyi on the same day last week.
