As temperatures in Washington approach 90 degrees Monday, Ben & Jerry’s is offering a sweet, free way to take the edge off the heat.
Ben & Jerry’s trucks are traversing the nation to promote the company’s new Greek Frozen Yogurt, and are slated to arrive in D.C. Monday.
The truck will be making rounds in the Washington area through May 11. “That’s 4 weeks of #OMGFreeBenJerrys!” tweeted @BenJerrysTruck Monday morning.
The first stop is the George Washington University campus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you’re craving a scoop and can’t make it to GW by 3 p.m., don’t despair. The roving stand is taking location requests via Twitter.
The company handed out free ice cream earlier this month to celebrate its 34th birthday, and to hundreds of Occupy D.C. protesters in McPherson Square last November.
