Ben & Jerry’s handing out free cones

(Creative Commons image (Flickr.com/Kamijo)) Ben & Jerry’s, the Vermont-based purveyors of slightly overpriced-and-delicious ice cream, is handing out free ice cream cones from noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The company’s Dupont Circle Scoop Shop closed last October, but there are plenty of others in the area, including shops at 3135 M St. NW and 1100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.; view a store locator here.

Ben & Jerry’s turns 34 today.
