Capital Weather Gang’s Weather Watchers program begins tonight

It’s almost that time again. (Tracy A. Woodward - The Washington Post) From “thundersnow” to hurricanes to extreme, face-melting heat, the Washington area dealt with its fair share of weather news this year — and it’s not over yet.

During every breaking story, the busy bloggers of Capital Weather Gang never lacked for readers willing to provide resources and tips and share their stories. And because of this, the Capital Weather Watchers program was born.

The Capital Weather Watchers will hold their first meeting and will be trained in Skywarn Spotter training by the National Weather Service from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight. You can follow along on Twitter by watching the hash tag #weatherwatchers.
