Sprinkles Cupcakes has debuted a machine that will dispense cupcakes on demand, 24 hours a day. They’re calling this snazzy vending machine a “cupcake automat.”
The problem? The contraption can only be found in L.A.
Bad move, Sprinkles, and for one reason: No one is as into cupcakes as Washingtonians believe they are.
Sprinkles has an outpost in Georgetown, and a spokesperson for the company promises that multiple automat locations — including, yes, maybe one in D.C. — are on the horizon.
In the meantime, go ahead and start trolling the cupcake ATM’s Facebook page.
