D.C. Beer Week: Tips for the local home brewer (#DMVReads)

D.C. Beer Week, the annual event where local beer lovers can enjoy an abundance of tastings, food pairings and happy hours throughout the city, kicks off on Sunday. Should any connoisseurs become inspired enough by the festivities to start making their own beer, The Mad Fermentationist has some tips on how to find the best ingredients for home brewing.

“There are lots of arguments that can be made both in favor and against buying brewing ingredients locally. You can talk quality, price, selection, economics, service, and environmentalism. . . .
