D.C. Lottery: Winning ticket worth $1M unclaimed

This could be you. It’s probably not, but it could be. (AP)
Did you buy a Powerball ticket from Mayfair Liquor in the District this week?

If so, it might be time to check your ticket.

According to WUSA (Channel 9), someone purchased a winning ticket from the store at 7312 Georgia Ave NW for the Wednesday drawing. Whoever drew the winning numbers —

16-23-42-44-47-PB 2 — has 180 days from the date of the drawing to come forward.

The largest jackpot win in D.C. was for $144 million, but the 82-year-old winner chose to remain anonymous and enjoy his $79.6 million lump sum payout in peace.
