Female Korean War vets to share stories, recognition

Female Korean War veterans will be honored Friday to commemorate the war’s 60th anniversary, according to the Department of Defense.

The program will feature a panel of distinguished women veterans of the Korean War and multiple speakers from the Armed Forces, including the Director of Intelligence Operations, Plans and Policy and the Army Surgeon General. The documentary, “The Real MASH,” will also be screened.

The program will run from 1-3 p.m. at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial, two blocks from the Arlington Cemetery Metro stop on the Blue Line. It is sponsored by the Department of Defense 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee.
