Hunt for serial rapist; surveillance cameras approved in Fairfax schools; moms’ holiday mania (A.M. Buzz)

Here are our picks for stories to read this Friday morning:

Hunt for serial rapist goes online. Police say the man attacked at least seven and probably nine women in Montgomery County and the District during the 1990s, killing one.

Fairfax okays high school surveillance. The county school board voted Thursday to allow indoor cameras for the first time, capping a months-long debate on whether such monitoring is appropriate or effective.

Moms’ holiday insomnia. Moms are making more stops than Santa this holiday season. And he gets to sleep for the other 364 days.

More than just a tattered teddy bear. When Mr. Naples went missing, a good Samaritan and a radio host stepped in to help its young owner.

Vote: Best new D.C. restaurant. From endlessly-hyped Graffiato to the relatively unheralded Little Serow, pick your favorite.
