(Tracy A. Woodward - The Washington Post)
In case you missed it, music mavens: A partnership with with Freegal Music means that library patrons can access Sony Music to download up to 156 free songs a year from selections found on more than 10,000 independent labels.

The library first introduced MP3 audiobook downloads to the District in 2008, and music downloads are the latest downloadable product to be expanded; readers have also been able to access a selection e-books for their e-readers since April.

Have you tried the music service yet? Tell us in the comments below or view the library’s complete downloadable media list here.
