Another battle for Marion Barry. The former D.C. mayor, who is seeking a third consecutive term as the Ward 8 council member, is an increasingly lonely politician.

Drama at D.C. mass-slaying trial. Much of Wednesday’s testimony came from mothers of those killed or injured in a series of fatal shootings in the city two years ago. “These bastards. These killers. These murderers,” one mother yelled at the defendants. The trial continues today.
