Charles ‘Chuck’ Hicks: Insider’s guide to D.C.

Each week, Cultural Tourism DC asks well-known Washingtonians to list their favorite attractions or events.

This week’s list comes from Charles “Chuck” Hicks of the DC Black History Celebration Committee. Here’s a sample of some of his picks:

1) African-American Civil War Museum - Why? It instructs about the African/American role in the fight for our freedom

2) Frederick Douglass Museum – It shows the history of an outstanding African/American and his leadership during the time of slavery.
