Occupy battles cold and rats; GOP presidential hopefuls join Perry’s Va. lawsuit; a win for Jiffy Lube Live tailgaters (A.M. Buzz)

At Occupy D.C. camps, less heat but more rats. As demonstrators battled bitter cold this week, there were increased sightings of rats nestling under pallets strewn with sleeping bags.

Santorum joins Perry’s Va. suit. A Virginia judge will allow GOP presidential hopefuls to join the lawsuit Texas Gov. Rick Perry brought after failing to qualify for Virginia’s GOP primary ballot.

The tailgaters win: Jiffy Lube Live listened to its patrons and is lifting the ban on tailgating before concerts.

A new casa for D.C.’s Latino seniors. The Brightwood neighborhood complex, which will provide affordable housing for residents 55 and over, is targeting Hispanics but is open to everyone.
