Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky and Olympian kayaker Scott Parsons were honored Wednesday at a reception for Montgomery County Olympians.

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett hosted the event at the executive office building in Rockville for the county’s 2012 Olympic athletes. Three other Olympians from Montgomery could not attend, due to scheduling conflicts. They are Julie Zetlin, rhythmic gymnastics; David Banks, rowing; and Caroline Queen, canoe/kayaking.

Ledecky, 15, of Bethesda, won the gold medal in the 800-meter freestyle.
