Parks and Recreation in D.C.: Five Smithsonian exhibits for Leslie Knope (#DMVReads)

Local fans of the NBC comedy “Parks and Recreation” were thrilled to learn that the show could be shooting some scenes in the D.C. this summer. Assuming the cast does descend upon the District, Around the Mall has come up with five exhibits that Leslie Knope, the show’s dedicated and optimistic herione, portrayed by Amy Poehler, should make sure to visit.

Votes for Women pennant:A big fan of voting in general, Knope should visit the American History Museum  to see pennants, buttons and signs from the suffrage movement and maybe take some notes for her own presidential campaign gear.”
