Each week, Cultural Tourism DC asks well-known Washingtonians to list their favorite attractions or events.
This week’s list comes from Pat Wheeler, the former director of marketing for Cultural Tourism DC, who served for almost four years. Wheeler worked in a variety of marketing and communications positions for Fortune 500 companies, the mayor’s office and the White House. Here are some of her picks:
1)The home of Frederick Douglass, Cedar Hill — Located in Anacostia, this historic house has some of the best views in the city. An absolute must-see for residents and visitors.
2)Franciscan Monastery — Located in Brookland, the monastery’s beautiful gardens will make you forget that you are in the middle of the city.
