‘Peeps poop’ and other weird marshmallowy goodness from the Web

Peeping Peep: Contest submission by Sterling residents Anne Lukas and Meg Paganelli. (Renee Comet - The Washington Post)
Peeps seem innocent enough. The Easter candies are soft, sweet, pastel-colored and come in chick and bunny form.

But, as even the greatest Peep-lovers will admit, they’re weird. Really weird. Especially when microwaved. And, best of all, they bring out the weird in all of us!

As we count down the days (five!) to the announcement of the winner of the Post’s annual Peeps diorama contest, we thought it would be fun to round up some of our favorite Peeps-themed Web sites and blog posts, featuring stories, activities, recipes and ... science experiments. They range from the curious to the truly bizarre.

Simply epic: Lord of the Peeps

Disgusting -- or delicious? Peeps meet chocolate milk

Fight to the death: Peeps jousting

Peeps + Sushi = Peepshi

Peeps + microwave = mess

Peeps + graham cracker + chocolate + microwave = S’meeps
