Play ball! Everything you need to know for opening day

(By Jeff Roberson/Associated Press)
It may feel like February out there, but it’s time for that annual rite of spring: opening day. The Nats will take the field today against the Atlanta Braves. From hotdogs to bobblehead presidents, we’ve got you covered.

Game time: 1:05 p.m. (TV: DC 50 | Radio: 106.7 The Fan)

Tickets: Still available

The forecast: It won’t be a picture-perfect opening day, but the Capital Weather Gang is not predicting a rain-out.

How to get to the game: Dr. Gridlock has a complete rundown of options, but gates and some parking lots open at 10:30 a.m. Expect crowding on Metro’s Green Line if you take transit.

Ballpark eats: The Nats are in the process of adding some new options to the ballpark lineup, including cult favorite Shake Shack. Tom Sietsema has the details.

The game: Wait, you actually care about the game and not just Shake Shack? Adam Kilgore has a profile of the Nats new edition: Jayson Werth. Thomas Boswell offers his take on the team’s prospects this year.

And before we forget, don’t forget to share your experiences.
