It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the space shuttle Discovery! The new addition to the Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum collection will be making a grand entrance over Washington this morning en route to its new home at the Udvar-Hazy Center. Look to the skies at 10 a.m. for a glimpse.

A man was robbed north of Potomac after his attackers rear-ended his car. Montgomery County police say such ramming-type robberies are rare in the area, but the same men may have attempted a similar robbery in Potomac early this month.

Want to buy gourmet coffee at your local farmer’s market? You may be out of luck. Local roasters are getting shut out of some area events because of restrictions on the sale of products not grown in the immediate area — like coffee beans.
