Sports Club ads in D.C., New York target Paula Deen

The hoopla around Paula Deen’s scandalous diabetes revelation shows no signs of dying down.

This week, Sports Clubs in Washington and New York rolled out ads targeting the queen of butter and sugar, who announced last week that she has type 2 diabetes and is now endorsing a diabetes drug.

“Paula, you made a fortune off of fat,” says the Washington Sports Clubs ad, which appeared in the Washington Examiner on Thursday. “Call us if you want to be around to enjoy it.”

New York Sports Clubs ran the same ad in the New York Times.

Tell us: Do you think the ad is an example of good marketing or in bad taste?
