Stacy London, the fashion maven responsible for makeovers of hundreds of guests on TLC’s “What Not to Wear,” is coming to D.C. this week.

The author of the new book, “The Truth About Style,” London will appear Thursday night at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue and on Friday at a sold-out book-launch party at D.C. boutique Muleh.

In “The Truth About Style,” her second book, London shares her own struggles with low self-esteem as a child and young woman, and describes how finding her personal sense of style boosted her self-confidence.

The bulk of the book is comprised of so-called case studies, in which she applies her style “truths” — not fashion “rules” — to help nine women transform their looks.

In the spirit of London’s visit, upload your original D.C. street style images and tell us: What is your biggest D.C. style pet peeve? Tweet your answers using # DCstylepeeve or leave a comment below.
