This week’s Best of the Blogs

(Derek Gee - AP)
This week continues a new feature on The Buzz. Every Friday afternoon in this space, we’ll be featuring five of the best stories from the local blogosphere. If you have a local blog story you’d like to be considered, you can submit the link here.

•Staying Medium goes to the tape to analyze who’s to blame for all 10 sacks of Redskins QB John Beck following a rough Sunday in Toronto against the Bills.

•ARLNow has details and photographs on some of the more lavish Halloween-inspired decorations in Arlington. Adornments include freshly dug graves, cobwebs and even a rusted-out hearse.

•DC Urban Turf deems Walter Street, complete with welcome packets to new residents, an annual Halloween gathering and outdoor parties in the the summer, the “friendliest blog on Capitol Hill.” Perhaps newly-elected senators should start looking for crash pads there.

•Just up the Pike points out that ethnic diversity in Montgomery County doesn’t necessarily equal integration, and offers some thoughts on how to make the latter a reality.

•Drink DC offers its list of the nine best spots in the city for craft beer, and even weighs in with some suggestions on what specifics brew are not to be missed.

Of course we’re on Facebook:
